Welcome to Nourish

Below is the overview and links of your training. You will follow this, day by day, whether you are beginning full time or part time. We ask that you please do not skip ahead—slowly digest and put into practice what you learn. Weeks 3 through 5 focus on the day to day of classroom management.

Day 16: Bathroom

Bathrooming is a deeply personal time for children and an opportunity to build autonomy with dignity. This session will guide educators through respectful language, health and safety procedures, and responsive support for children at different developmental stages. We’ll also discuss licensing standards and body-positive practices.

Day 17: Center time

Center time invites children to explore with intention and depth. In this session, educators will learn how to prepare and rotate provocations, offer choice while encouraging focus, and scaffold social learning. We’ll also review observation techniques that allow us to understand each child’s interests and developmental edges.

Day 18: outdoor play

The outdoors is one of our richest classrooms. This session will explore how nature supports regulation, risk-taking, collaboration, and creativity. Educators will reflect on their own outdoor mindset and learn how to foster curiosity and confidence while ensuring safety and engagement in all weather.

Day 19: circle time

Circle time is a moment to gather, connect, and build classroom rhythm. This session focuses on how to keep circle time developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and responsive. We’ll also explore transitions into and out of circle, child-led participation, and how to build community through storytelling, music, and reflection.

Day 20: Combination at the end of the day + Reflection

The end of the day calls for flexibility, patience, and connection as groups combine and energy shifts. Educators will learn how to maintain structure and safety while holding space for children’s changing emotions and rhythms. We’ll also explore ways to honor the close of the day through routine and relationship.
