Welcome to Nourish
Below is the overview and links of your training. You will follow this, day by day, whether you are beginning full time or part time. We ask that you please do not skip ahead—slowly digest and put into practice what you learn. Weeks 3 through 5 focus on the day to day of classroom management.
Day 21: afternoon play
Afternoon play often brings a softer, more reflective tone. This session highlights how to meet children’s needs for rest, autonomy, and continued exploration while supporting emotional regulation. We’ll also discuss how to use afternoon time to revisit morning themes and strengthen community.
Day 22: Pick Up / Drop off
These moments are relational bridges between home and school. This session teaches educators how to communicate clearly, share meaningful updates, and support children through goodbyes and reunions. We’ll also explore how to remain present and warm, even during busy or emotional transitions.
Day 23: Cleaning: Health + Safety
Maintaining a clean environment is a reflection of care for our children and each other. This session outlines our cleaning protocols, expectations, and state requirements for health and hygiene. Educators will learn how to embed cleaning routines into the day in ways that are efficient, sustainable, and respectful to the learning space.
Day 24: Cleaning: Life Skills
Children are capable contributors to their environment. This session explores how to integrate cleaning into classroom routines as opportunities for independence, responsibility, and pride. We’ll discuss age-appropriate roles and how to model cleaning as an act of love, not just a chore.
Day 25: Cleaning: Stewards of Tuition dollars
As educators, we hold a shared responsibility for caring for the materials, furniture, and tools that families entrust to us. This session helps educators understand how their attention to upkeep impacts not only the environment but the sustainability of our program. We’ll reflect on stewardship as a form of gratitude and shared investment in the school’s mission.
