Welcome to Nourish

Below is the overview and links of your training. You will follow this, day by day, whether you are beginning full time or part time. We ask that you please do not skip ahead—slowly digest and put into practice what you learn. Weeks 3 through 5 focus on the day to day of classroom management.

Day 11: Morning Arrival and Separation

The way we welcome children each morning sets the tone for their entire day. This session focuses on creating calm, predictable, and loving separations—partnering with families to ease transitions and establish safety. Educators will learn how to build consistent rituals, connect with caregivers, and attune to each child’s emotional needs.

Day 12: Morning PLay

Morning play is a sacred space of exploration, comfort, and autonomy. This session covers how to design a warm, engaging environment that allows children to enter the day gently and with choice. Educators will learn how to observe, document, and join children in meaningful ways without disrupting their play.

Day 13: Transitions in the day to day

Rituals, routines, and transitions are the threads that weave the day together. You’ll learn the importance of consistency—hellos and goodbyes—and how these seemingly small practices create a sense of safety and belonging that supports classroom management and emotional regulation.

Day 14: Meal Serving

Mealtime is an opportunity for connection, nourishment, and life skills development. This session explores how to serve meals with warmth and intention, engage children in the process, and model gratitude and conversation. Educators will also learn how our whole-food approach supports regulation and community care.

Day 15: Nap Time expectations

Rest is a crucial part of the child’s day, and nap time should be handled with gentleness and consistency. In this session, educators will learn how to create a calm environment, support children’s individual sleep needs, and manage transitions into and out of rest with grace. We'll also discuss how to maintain supervision and safety throughout.
